The Rain Cloud
For a brief moment
It holds the rain in its arms
Nimbus
like a mother
cradles the rain
across the skies
Then lets it be
For a brief moment
It relishes the feel of the rain
in its arms
Before the rain must set out
to its journey.
Nimbus
like a lover
locks the rain
in a tight embrace
Then sets it free
For a brief moment
It savors having the rain
in its arms
Before the rain goes home
to the sea.
Nimbus
In misery
weeps
as the rain falls
But it is still glad
That even for a brief moment
It held the rain in its arms.
